Katie Jacobson, Neighbor

Well, hello!  Welcome to my home.

My name is Katie.  I live in Echo Park, and have previously lived in Silverlake, Eagle Rock, and Mt. Washington (good), as well as North Hollywood (bad) and New Jersey (boring.)  I recently graduated from CalArts, and am currently riding the unemployment train.  Choo choo!

My favorite places in the community are Out of the Closet, Echo Park Time Travel Mart, Stories, Delta Taco, and Downbeat Cafe.  Perhaps Delta Taco is technically in Silverlake, but damn those fish burritos are good.

I'm working on a collection of short pieces about people who are famous/noteworthy because of biological abnormalities: think Bubble Boy.  I get less and less coherent every time someone asks me what my "goal" is with this collection, or to "explain" "why" I'm "writing" it.  I generally mumble something about voyeurism and appropriation and pray the questioner takes mercy and stops, but if you're really interested you can message me or something.

I also really love food wrapped in other food, and when I see people in suits running.
