L.A. Zoo: July Music in the Zoo Evenings Return

Picnics are permitted, and a tempting array of food and beverages are available for purchase. Both evenings run from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., with animals on view until 8 p.m.

The Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association presents a rare opportunity for after-hours visits on two evenings of "Music in the Zoo" under the stars, including Best of Music in the L.A. Zoo Night on Friday, July 13 and Global Fusion Night on Friday July 27, 2012.

Performances take place throughout the Zoo and Botanical Gardens from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. while guests view more than a few animals staying up past their bedtimes.

"Music in the Zoo" is among many programs presented by the private, non-profit Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association, founded in 1963.

Food stations set up around the Zoo both nights offer an array of dining options, including Street Tacos with Pickled Slaw and ZooChili Sauce; Banh Mi Pork Belly Sandwiches on Ficelle Roll; Chicken Andouille Sausage, Maersenbier German Bratwursts; Dry Aged Angus Beef Burger; and BBQ Pulled Pork Slider with Bacon Coleslaw and "Sassy and Spicy" BBQ.
