USC Lit Students Come to Glassell Park's Verdugo Bar for Reading

An evening sponsored by the university's innovative doctoral program takes over the pioneering microbrew beer garden.

USC's innovative Creative Writing and Literature program attracts students who want to both make literature and analyze it.

Students must write a traditional thesis and also create a significant work of poetry or fiction.

As part of that the students periodically organize readings around Los Angeles to showcase student work and other local poetry and fiction writers.
