Dodgers Opening Day Viewing Party Attracts 15K RSVPs

The gates were swung wide open Thursday afternoon. The community was invited to see a free broadcast of the Dodgers' first game of the season in San Diego.

 

Some take it to be signs of a new culture at Dodger Stadium.

It's in San Diego, and starts at 4 p.m.

The LA Times says over 15,000 people RSVP'd. But a Dodger public relations person just told us that an RSVP is not necessary.

Parking is free too, and former Dodger infielder Ron Cey will be on hand to give out autographs.

The Dodgers' first home game is next Tuesday afternoon against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

April 10 is also the 50th anniversary to the day of the opening of Dodger Stadium.
