How to Run for Neighborhood Council

Councils serving Echo Park, Silver Lake and Los Feliz will hold elections for board positions October 6. The deadline to file is Sept. 6.

Like Patch, local neighborhood councils are close to the ground, often the first to hear of new projects and issues.

They can also strongly influence whether a project moves forward, particularly if it involves land use concerns.

Board sizes range, but are designed to involve stakeholders from a variety of perspectives.
