Rampart detectives are looking for four males involved in the shooting of a man Monday night who tried to stop them from tagging a fence.
According to the daily crime report provided to Patch by Rampart, the shooting happened at 11:30 p.m. in an alley behind 4106 Rosewood Ave., a multi-unit aparment complex just west of Vermont Avenue.
"The victim confronted some taggers; one of the taggers turns and shoots the victim," officer Herb Chang told City News Service.
The males then ran away.
Much of the parking for the building and the surrounding complexes is along a dead-end back alley, not easily seen from the street and not easily reached by patrol cars.
Not surprisingly, it has a lot of graffiti, on walls and dumpsters.
City News Service reports the man was taken to a hospital with an arm wound that was not life-threatening.
