Police Chase Ends at Mohawk Bend Saturday

The man fired a shot, then ran down Sunset Boulevard and into the restaurant, where he was taken into custody.

Apparently, he ran into the restaurant after firing a gun in a dispute in front of the liquor store at Alvarado and Sunset.

Bystanders had called police, who had already arrived on the scene when he fired the shot, according to the Eastsider, quoting Rampart's Lt. Wes Buhrmester.

The man, identified as 19-year-old Roque Felipe, then sprinted west on Sunset, apparently shedding the wrestling mask he had on.

Soon after Felipe sat down with the diners, the police walked in and apprehended him.

A passerby also found a gun in the street nearby.

Felipe was booked at the Metropolitan Detention Center for assault with a firearm and discharging it during the assault, with bail set at $100,000.
