Road Rage Possible Cause

Juan David worked a second job delivering pizzas at Garage Pizza, a favorite late-night stop for clubgoers.

He was dropping a colleague off  just after five o'clock in the morning Sunday when he was shot at close range by someone in a green Toyota or Honda.

No Gang Affiliations

Police speculate that the motive may have been "road rage," as Juan David is not believed to have any gang affiliations.

Juan David is said to be well-liked, and regularly sends funds home to his family.

Family members were said to be traveling from Mexico to be with him at County USC Medical Center, where he remains on life support.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to please call Northeast homicide detectives at (213) 847-4261.

Contributions to the fund can be made at any Citibank branch or at El Chavo at 4441 Sunset Blvd. or at Garage Pizza at 4339 Sunset Boulevard.
