Echo Park House Fire: Cause Still Not Known

An LAFD spokesperson said Thursday the blaze in a Craftsman home is not being investigated as arson.

What caused the fire Wednesday morning in Echo Park is still unknown, according to Katherine Maine of the Los Angeles Police Department.

According to her records, it is still not known where the fire began, but she did say it is not being investigated as an arson.

Maine said the final report confirms that three people were injured in the blaze, none seriously.

The blaze lit up the skies over Echo Park and prompted much tweeting and photo-taking on smartphones.
