Echo Park Fire Station Burglarized

The burglary was reported Monday morning. Personal and professional possessions, including electronics were taken. It's not the first time this has happened at the station.

Burglars hit Echo Park's Fire Station 20 earlier this week. The crime was reported Monday.

It was a "brazen attack" that occurred as firefighters rested their quarters above the station's first-floor garage.

According to the Eastsider LA, which broke the story, the burglars took everything from firefighting boots and jackets to personal electronics.

Capt. Richard Denning told the Eastsider that the burglars threw most of the firefighting gear into a dumpster near the station.

Burglars have hit the station before, but, according to Denning, this time losses were bigger.
