You may experience some in convenience Sunday morning if you are traveling near Downtown.
Caltrans has shut down the freeway interchange at the Hollywood (101) Freeway and Arroyo Seco Parkway (110) for what's termed ``Swarm Maintenance.''
The interchange will be closed at 6 a.m. and will be closed until noon so that 175 Caltrans personnel and community service workers can perform several tasks that it would take three or four separate shut-downs to do otherwise, said District 7
"With budget and resource cutbacks, we have to be innovative and find
different ways to accomplish our mission,'' Miles said. "By placing multiple
crews into one closure we were able to make significant improvements to the
roadway and landscape, enhance safety and save on future costs.''
The Northbound 110 connector to northbound 101 and southbound 110 connector to northbound 101 will be closed from 6 a.m to 12 p.m., Caltrans officials said.
The No. 3 lane of the northbound 110 connector to the northbound and southbound 101 will be closed from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m.
The Grand Avenue on-ramp to the north and southbound 110 and northbound 101 will and 3rd Street on-ramp to the northbound 110 will be closed.
Signed detours will be in place, Caltrans officials said. Motorists should expect delays.
