Brush Fire Causes Backup on 110 Freeway
The blaze is reported about 1:25 p.m. near Stadium Way.
Firefighters made quick work Monday of a small brush fire in the Elysian Park area.
The fire was reported about 1:25 p.m. near Stadium Way and the Golden State (5) Freeway, according to Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
About 40 firefighters tackled the blaze, with a knockdown declared about 30 minutes later. The blaze charred less than an acre of vegetation, according to the LAFD. Traffic was backed up in the southbound lanes of the 110 Freeway as a result.

No structures were damaged and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
