Body Found in Griffith Park, LAPD Investigating

Police said the man may have fallen in a remote area of the park.

A body was found today in Griffith Park.

Police officers and firefighters were sent to the 4700 block of Crystal Springs Drive on a report that a man may have fallen in a remote area.

Officer Sally Madera said Los Angeles police got a call from a park ranger about 1 p.m. saying that two hikers had spotted a body on a hillside.

Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department said 22 firefighters, including urban search-and-rescue team members, were dispatched to remove the body from a rugged hillside near "B" rock.
