Patch Blog: McCourt Campaign Contributions to the City Council and to the Mayor

The McCourts and their subsidiaries contributed campaign funds to Councilmembers, the mayor, and city attorneys.

DODGER CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTIONS

Should Frank McCourt wish to subdivide a portion of Dodger Stadium and parking lot, the McCourt subsidiary that owns the Stadium property land would apply to the City Council for a land use change because the city’s general plan designates the stadium property as open space.  (See. Subdivision Map Act (Government Code §§ 66411, 66573.5.)

Here is the list of the McCourt campaign contributions since 2004, when a McCourt subsidiary bought Dodger Stadium.  By city ordinance, campaign contributions are limited to $500 per city council candidate and to $1000 for mayor, city attorney or controller.
