Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program
VITA provides:
- Trained and Certified Volunteers (PriceWaterhouse Coopers)
- FREE Federal and State tax preparation
- Serving individuals with low-to moderate-income
- Computerized returns transmitted electronically for the fastest possible refund
- No charges for any service provided by the VITA program
- Must live in the City of Los Angeles
***Person must make an annual income of $51,000 or less to receive this service***
What to bring:
- Last year’s tax return
- CA/DL or ID, Original Social Security Cards or ITIN cards for all family members
- Proof of Address: Utility Bill (Gas, light or land line telephone)
- All tax forms: W-2, 1098, 1099
- Information of all deductions/credits, e.g. childcare provider’s name, address, Social Security card or ITIN number
- Bank account number for direct deposit
