A space who historically has served as a home for the arts, Mohawk Bend is excited to introduce their first art exhibit featuring local artists Angela + Ithyle. From Tuesday, October 16th through December 5th, Mohawk will serve as gallery to their photo series Melany, a collection of images inspired by one of their models, which utilizes a variety of film formats – both current (digital) and retro (Wet Plate Collodian, aka Tin Types) – to capture the artists’ feeling about beauty and youth.
The opening party for the pieces will take place on Tuesday, Oct 16th from 5:30-7:45PM, featuring a visit from the artists, their popular stop-motion videos on display, and complimentary tray-passed bruschetta, gourmet popcorn, and roasted pistachios, accompanied by complimentary tastings of Golden Road Brewing’s Hefeweizen, Point the Way IPA, and Get Up Offa That Brown.
