2013 Frogtown Artwalk

The artists, artisans and architects of Elysian Valley, otherwise known as Frogtown, are pleased to announce the eighth annual Frogtown Artwalk, a celebration of the creativity and talent flourishing in the industrial buildings of this working class neighborhood along the LA River.  The event invites visitors to explore a unique part of LA; wandering into artists' studios, the manufacturing sites occupied by furniture and drum-makers, and through a series of impromptu galleries that temporarily transform local businesses into art venues.  This year the event will also feature a "River Pavilion" with information on on-going river restoration efforts and live music.  Leo Limon, the original LA River artist, will be on hand to talk about the creation of his well-known "LA River Cats".  Frogtown sits on the edge of the LA River, and is easy to reach.  There is free street parking, and this year, there will be bike valet service to welcome bikers.
