Tang's, Philippe's Winners in Donut Summit

Angelenos submitted a total of 55 entries from all over the city Sunday in Elysian Park at the 2nd annual Donut Summit. 

Local Stars

Babycakes of downtown L.A. was the winner in the Overall category.

Other local standouts included Monterey Donuts of Hermon, for "Best Raised Donut" and "Best Frosting or Glaze,"   Philippe's the Original for "Best Cake Donut" and "Roundest Donut," and Tang's Donuts for "Worst Overall."

Other Winners

Other notables included Righteous Fryers, for "Best Vegan Donut" and Glendora's The Donut Man for "Best Filling" (peach). Stalwart  Stan's Donuts got "Judge's Choice" for their peanut butter filled donuts.
