Echo Park Patch is a fun, flippy dress girl.
And, boy, did I find a new find in boutique Eileen.
Just next to Millie's in the heart of Silver Lake on Sunset, the shop is bursting with bright colored dresses and shirts.
Owner Eileen Burke worked as a manager in visual merchandising for the Gap for many years.
She brings the same care to her own enterprise, going twice a week to shop in Downtown LA for her stock.
When I visited, she'd moved on into spring with sheer dresses in pinks and greens and oranges.
"Nothing over $49.99," she told me. And there was much to be had for a lot less.
I left with pair of spiffy turquoise painted earrings and plan to come back for great dress in jade green in with a built in scarf.
It's going to be hard not to stop by this weekend when Eileen is offering free sunglasses and earrings to everyone who buys a dress and mentions Echo Park Patch. Limit one per customer.
