Stumped for where to take a date--or the love of your life? Patch has a few suggestions.

Restaurant owners love the day that some of us love--and some of us love to hate.

Valentine's Day is one of their busiest. Many plan ahead with special meals or dishes.

Echo Park and Silver Lake are no different

Silver Lake's Cliff's Edge, for example, is offering two prix fixe menus, one with a vegetarian option. The early seating is $55. After 7 p.m., it's $65.

Bad news is all the seatings sold out weeks ago.  But the manager there told us last night you can still grab a drink at the bar.

Meantime, there will be room for you just up the street--at the newly-opened Black Cat.

The comfy gastropub took some reservations, but they've left about half their tables open for walk-ins.

No special menu, but expect a special mood, says staff.

Best if you come early they say, for the first seating which begins around 6:30 p.m.

Wanting to hit Echo Park instead?

Further down Sunset in Echo Park, Taix also has prepared a Valentine's Day menu.  Entrees are $36 and include vegan "Cassoulet," amd grilled char. Desserts and appetizers are extra.

Masa of Echo Park is also offering a Valentine's Day meal. Reservations are full, but they are also accepting walk-ins.

It's just $49 per couple, and includes champagne, pizza and Jones Roasters coffee.

They'll also offer the same meal Friday through Sunday after 5 p.m.

Finally, if you're feeling a little adventurous--and a little out of pocket--we recommend this treasure in Atwater Village.

Thank You for Coming is a kitchen and performance space that just opened in December.

Funded by a cooperative of twenty-something food lovers, TYFC invites an artist each month to be its resident chef.

For February Brooklyn-based punk rock duo Japanther is curating the daily meals.

Apparently, they'll be serving date shakes tonight, and hosting a YouTube "love song" juke box.

For 69-cents, they'll spin the song of your choice.
