Dodgers Preview Jackie Robinson Giveaway Statue on His 94th Birthday

Baseball barrier breaker Jackie Robinson would have celebrated his 94th birthday January 31.

The Dodger organization took note by rolling out a preview of a "Jackie Robinson, Roy Campanele, Don Newcombe" statue.

It will be distributed to fans at Dodger Stadium on April 14, the 66th anniversary of the day Robinson became the first African-American to play major league baseball.

The Dodgers host San Diego that night.

The new owners of the Dodgers have indicated they will be drawing more often on their celebrated past in promoting the present.
