Healing Tea Shop Opens in Sunset Junction

Peter Bedard and Patrick Tolentino want people to learn more about the healing properties of teas.

Now Peter and partner Patrick Tolentino are taking that practice to another level, with a retail store.

They've snuck into the tiny cabin next door to specialty shop The Spice Station with their own blend--CYH Teas, specializing in aromatic and therapeutic teas.

"I've lived in the Sunset Junction area of Silver Lake since 1992 and this is my first endeavor into a retail store," said Peter in an email. " It's going great so far and the neighborhood has really embraced us!"

Patrick says he'll be the day-to-day face of the store, which opened a few weeks ago.

They invite everyone to join them Wednesday, Oct. 10 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m for an opening party featuring music and, of course, samples.

"We have a Respiratory Blend, De-Tox (Hangover) Blend, Pregnancy Blend, Weight Loss Blend, Thrive-Cancer Blend, etc.," said Peter.

CYH Teas is located at 3821 W. Sunset Boulevard, LA, CA 90026.
