The Sadie Hawkins Dance Party of Awesome

The Eagle Rock Yacht Club is holding their second annual Sadie Hawkins Dance Party of Awesome on Saturday, August 25th at the Carondelet House in Downtown LA. Music will be provided by Chris Douridas (KCRW) and DJ Turquoise Wisdom (DUBLAB), open bar provided by Bushmills Irish Whiskey, Barefoot Wine and Stella Artois, passed appetizers, dessert from Lemon Poppy Kitchen, photo booth by Tommy B., airbush tattooing, giant versions of your favorite games, a raffle, scavenger hunt and some secret surprises! 

The Los Angeles-based ERYC is committed to helping create positive growth for youth and young adults through workshops, mentorships and the game of dodgeball. Proceeds from the dance will:

• Help expand Yacht Grub, the extremely successful healthy cooking classes that were offered to young adults this spring at Venice’s Oakwood Recreation Center      
• Continue to provide low-cost community yoga classes currently being offered at the Glassell Park Recreation Center.
• Help create a kids dodgeball league as well as gardening and screenprinting courses
• Help certify ERYC volunteers in crucial CPR training
• Continue efforts to maintain and keep open the Glassell Park pool
