Echo Park's Villainy General Store to Close in December

Villainy General Store will close its physical location and remain open online.

Echo Park's vintage-inspired Villainy General Store will close its brink-and-mortar store in December, the business announced on its Facebook page.

The store, which sells a wide range of vintage and antique style items said that while it will close its physical location in Echo Park, it will still operate as an online business.

"We have met so many very cool and gracious people here," Villainy General Store posted on Facebook. "We met lots of neighbors, old-timers, new-timers and for the most part we've been well received and we've always appreciated that kindness."

According to the store's website, Villainy specializes in selling anything from cast iron frying pans and cook books to "antique curios" such as vintage postcards, vintage toys and antique appliances. The store also features the work of local artists and jewelry makers.

Villainy General Store opened in Echo Park in October 2011.

For those interested in visiting the store, owners say it will remain open until the end of December. Villainy General Store's website will remain open past then.
