Hi Duk Lee came to the United States when he was 29.
The Korean immigrant worked odd jobs and then finally opened the Olympic Market in Koreatown, which he ran for many years.
He raised three children, and distinguished himself in the community, winning recognition from lawmakers and the LAPD.
Now, at 73--and in no way retired---he's going to fulfill a dream and open a nursery at 1901 Echo Park Avenue.
It's nursery that will have Wi-Fi and welcome our canine friends.
Lee will share the site with which was also running the garden until the recent windstorms made a mess of things.
Lee says look for an opening around Valentine's Day.
