Culture Collide Music Fest Returns to Echo Park

The third annual event features four days of live music, including a Sunday block party free to the community.

 

Filter Magazine's Culture Collide Festival returns to Echo Park this week and weekend.

The event kicked off Wednesday night with a VIP party at Taix, one of a number of local venues hosting the festival including the Echo, Origami Vinyl and the Echo Park Methodist Church.

The third annual Culture Collide features artists from 25 countries including of Montreal, The Wombats, The Big Pink, School of Seven Bells, Zola Jesus, Niki And The Dove, Patrick Wolf, John Talabot, Dean Wareham Plays Galaxie 500, Diiv, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Icona Pop, Penguin Prison, Bonde do Role and many other international buzzworthy artists.

As before, there will also be a block party for the community on Sunday from 2 pm. to 11 p.m. featuring School of Seven Bells, Wombats, of Montreal and many more.

UPDATE: Angelenos Poolside has been added to replace the Brazilian band Bonde do Role, who cancelled due to illness.

Organizers have also added a two day Creative Summit to run Thursday and Friday for those with Festival wristbands.

Speakers from the music, entertainment and lifestyle industries will discuss brand partnerships, record sales, touring, digital marketing and more.

The Summit begins at 12:30 p.m. both days in the Taix Champagne Room.
