Last Chance to See Laurie O'Brien As Homeless Madwoman
Directed by Tony Abatemarco, I AM CHRISSIE closes this weekend at Los Feliz's Skylight Theatre on Vermont Avenue.
Award winning actress Laurie O’Brien concludes her world premiere run of I Am Chrissie directed by Tony Abatemarco Sunday and Monday at 7 p.m. at the Skylight/Skylab Theatre.
Two-time recipient of the Los Angeles Drama Critic’s Circle Award, and Ovation Award winner, Ms. O'Brien, channels the story of Chrissie, a homeless mad woman with a feisty sense of humor, who showed up in her theatre workshop at a psych ward in 1978.
An unlikely bond grows as two women from different generations cross the line between sanity and insanity under the fragile banner of the women's movement.
