Classical Revolution: L.A. will present a concert by the SPLNTRD WOOD at Silverlake Lounge at 6 p.m. tonight. Doors open at 5 p.m.

This talented trio plays original music and their own arrangements of anything from 17th century operas to today's pop tunes. The members of SPLNTRD WOOD, Pierre Derycz, Ian Gottlieb and Mathew Park, hold degrees in classical music from some of the country's top conservatories and perform with heavy-hitting chamber groups like the American String Quartet and NYC-based Shattered Glass ensemble. When they get together as SPLNTRD WOOD all bets are off! Out the window go the stuffy, classical traditions and over-played classical hits. You'll find friendly musicians with great stories and original, off-the-beaten-path music, handpicked by the stellar musicians of SPLNTRD WOOD!
