Filming to Begin on Action Thriller 'San Andreas' Starring Dwayne Johnson

The film centers around the infamous fault in California.

Principal photography begins Tuesday in Australia on "San Andreas," starring Dwayne Johnson as a search-and-rescue helicopter pilot who makes his way from Los Angeles to San Francisco with his estranged wife to save their daughter after a magnitude-9.0 quake on the infamous fault.

The film also stars Carla Gugino ("Night at the Museum," TV's "Entourage"), Alexandra Daddario ("Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters," TV's "True Detective") and Archie Panjabi (TV's "The Good Wife"), as well as Hugo Johnstone-Burt (Australian TV's "Home and Away") and Art Parkinson (TV's "Game of Thrones").
