'Christmas in September' Will Benefit Children's Hospital

Rockwell: Table & Stage is offering a little holiday cheer early this year by turning the entire venue into a winter wonderland to benefit the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.  The event will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 26 from 7 - 10 p.m. and admission only requires patrons to bring an unwrapped toy that will go directly to Los Angeles’ first and largest pediatric hospital in Southern California. The restaurant has partnered with Patron Tequila and local neighborhood businesses to offer various food and drink options, entertainment by local artists and the popular “For The Record” series, and retail stores to help jumpstart that ever important holiday shopping.

In the outside space, real snow will make a rare appearance in L.A. and traditional holiday decorations will adorn the restaurant to make it feel like an Old-Fashioned Christmas. A photo booth will be on hand to help capture special moments from the evening and Santa Claus will be around to make those photos more memorable.  Rockwell: Table & Stage will offer passed hors d' oeuvres and other local restaurants including Sidewalk Cafe and Il Capriccio will be on hand to offer food for purchase.  Local ice cream shop, Paradis will be offering peppermint ice cream to get everyone in the holiday mood. Several retail shops will be on hand to sell merchandise perfect for holiday gifts including Liberate Emporium, Balance Acupuncture, Artisan Jewelry, The Sailor's Muse, Skylight Books, Leela Grace Jewelry, Co-op 28, Paper Flavor, Hailmary Jewelry and Yolanda Jo.

Playing inside throughout the evening on the “Stage” side will be local bands and musicians including Rowan Katz, The Shakers, P L a N E T S, James Byous and Sad Robot. At 8:00 p.m. the hit “For The Record” series will take stage and preview their upcoming December show “For The Record: Christmas Stories.” The show will feature popular scenes and soundtracks from various Hollywood hit films.
