Free Haircuts, Immunizations Offered for Echo Park, Silver Lake Residents at Back-to-School Health Fair
The health fair will be held on Aug. 17 at Dodger Stadium.
August is beginning and that means school will start before you know it and that means getting ready for school. It’s an exciting time to get new school-related things but sometimes that cost parents just can’t afford.
Assemblymember Jimmy Gomez and Service Employees International Union (SEIU)—United Long Term Care Workers will be hosting an event on Aug. 17 to help parents get their kids ready for school.
The Back-To-School Health Fair will be held at Dodger Stadium (1000 Elysian Park Avenue) and will offer free haircuts, dental check ups, immunizations, diabetes check ups and book bags (while supplies last).

The immunizations offered will include the TDAP booster. The TDAP booster (or whooping cough vaccine) is required for all seventh graders before they can begin the school year.
