5 Things to Know: Boathouse Repaint, Obama at DreamWorks

Here are five things to start off your Wednesday in Echo Park and Silver Lake:

1. Rounding out a two-day Southern California swing, President Barack Obama toured DreamWorks Animation studios in Glendale Tuesday and hailed the entertainment industry as an economic "bright spot" that reflects positive American values across the globe. 2. Crews this week continued to repaint the historic boathouse at Echo Park Lake. Large swaths of the orange-brown boathouse on Tuesday were already covered white paint, including the iconic lighthouse tower. See more here. 
3. If you’re headed to LAX today or tomorrow, keep in mind that our airport is expected be the busiest in the nation over the 11-day Thanksgiving travel period. Travelers are advised to arrive two hours before domestic flights and three hours before international flights.
