Volunteer and Ride: Gay Bike Day Downtown

The "Sunday Funday" ride to showcase bikes and Gay L.A. from downtown to West Hollywood on Sunday, September 2

The “Sunday Funday” ride will be a relaxed tour of gay Los Angeles led by LACBC Board Member Herbie Huff on Sunday, September 2 at 10 a.m.

The roughly 12-15 mile ride begins at Pershing Square in downtown and ends in West Hollywood, with nosh at the infamous Hamburger Mary's Drag Queen Brunch.

Brief stops along the way will feature local queer history and highlight bike advocacy in West Hollywood from local chapter West Hollywood Bicycle Coalition.

When: Sunday, September 2; Meet at 10:00 a.m.; Ride at 10:30 a.m.

Where: Northeast corner of Pershing Square (near the intersection of 5th and Hill)

Ride Duration: About 4-5 hours (with eating and frequent stops)

Difficulty: Relaxed mostly flat with a few gradual inclines

What to Bring:  Water, sunscreen, money for food
