Ceviche Project Hits Los Feliz

The fish-friendly pop-up has been making the Eastside rounds, with a stop at Silver Lake's L&E Oyster Bar on Easter. On Sunday May 20, it's Vinoteca. Will you be there?

On Sunday May 20, the Ceviche Project comes to Vinoteca on Hillhurst in Los Feliz for a one-day pop-up.

The five-course meal begins at 1 p.m. and features wine pairings from Vinoteca's Sommelier John Borghetti. Tickets are $60 and must be purchased in advance.

Mexican-born Octavio Olivas is one half of the Ceviche Project. (His wife Shannon is the other.) He explains his passion for fresh fish on the Project blog:

My dad used to take me fishing in Mexico and together we'd prepare a fresh and simple citrus-marinated-fish using the catch of the day. Since then I have lived in New York, London and Los Angeles... tasting Ceviche in as many places and as often as I can.
