Farmers Needed at the Echo Park Farmers' Market

Fruit and vegetable farmers are urged to apply.

The Echo Park Farmers' Market is on the hunt for new farmers.

Vendors who sell Asian or organic vegetables are in particular demand right now, according to Javier Arteaga, market manager of the Echo Park Farmers' Market.

"It would be nice if they had baby salads or a baby mix," Arteaga said.

The farmers' market also needs more fruit and is looking for farmers who sell "anything that’s in season," Arteaga said.

All farmers must be certified with the state of California and fill out an application along with a $25 processing fee.
