Photo Gallery: Family Dance Party Brings the Generations Together

Kids and parents danced, ate and did crafts at the Echo Center's fifth annual event.

Dads danced with daughters. Moms circled around holding babies in their arms.

They joined more than one hundred parents and kids who crowded the basement of the Saturday afternoon to dance.

The Echo Center,  now in its 11th year, hosted the party, one of its four annual community events.

Founder Ruth Beaglehole told the crowd, "No one is too young to dance, and no one is too old."

Families did seem to enjoy this rare chance to dance together in a club-like environment.

DJ Guanaco mixed up Spanish and English language dance tracks from the stage and, at times, packed the floor.

Food and crafts were also offered.

Kids' crafts were supposed to happen outside. But the rain kept everything indoors.

Last year's party was held at the Echoplex, but the group opted for the church, its home base, this year.
