Mitch O'Farrell, Neighbor

I am a public servant and candidate for Los Angeles City Council, 13th District where I worked from 2002 to 2012. I am a 30 year resident of Los Angeles, (my entire adult life). My knowledge of the District, track record, and vision for the 13th District make me the most qualified person to represent the Distrcit.  It is my nature to challenge the status quo but to also be diplomatic. I have been able to pull the levers of city government to make things happen, while pressing for institutional change in the way the city delivers services.  But there's more to do!

I also have years of experience in running various service oriented businesses, which have given me a deep understanding of what it means to manage cost of sales, inventory, payroll, understand workers compensation, and deal with various city and county agencies from a business perspective. 

It is my fundamental belief that all levels of government should be in the business of working hard to serve its residents and facilitate success in our neighborhoods, while striving to bring additional resources to our communities.  Knowing this is not always the case has motivated me to serve in a greater capacity, and innovate the way this city does business by leading the way in the 13th District!  It is my mission to establish the gold standard in Los Angeles city government.
