Owner Liz Fischbach renovated the space, leaving a minimalist setting housed in classic Los Angeles 1940s architecture. Though the vibe is intentionally dive-ish, patrons will find an interesting selection of four to six craft beers, most of which are locally brewed, plus some hard-to-find bottled and canned beer, as well as three red and three white wines. Stachura renovated an old 1920s-era silent movie house (formally the home of the Colony Theatre) on Riverside Drive, offering the company a larger, more adaptable space in which to develop its ever-growing ensemble of actors, directors, writers and technical staff. Now the company of more than 125 talented and passionate individuals is focusing on the Silverlake space exclusively. To date, the Knightsbridge has produced more than 240 plays and has been the seed for many other theater companies in the United States, continuing to support and encourage the growth of live theater.
