The Short Stop is a local bar located on West Sunset Boulevard in historic Echo Park, only a few blocks from Dodger Stadium. Opened in 1940, this landmark watering hole used to be a popular police hangout, but today it's a welcome part of the Echo Park sports and social scene. You'll find cheap drinks and three separate rooms, one with a DJ, another with pool tables, and the main bar area. DJs tend to play a mix of L.A. rap classics, new pop and '80s cheese rock.
