The Ukulady & Friendsies at Lot 1!

The Ukulady & Friendsies are coming to Lot 1 Friday, January 20th, for an evening of Quirky Songs, Tasty Snacks & Frosty Beverages!

Dear Blob,

When I moved to Echo Park in 2004 the corner of Sunset and Laveta Terrace was occupied by used appliance store run by a butch gal who could fix any oven, named Hope. Hope came to my house several times to fix the free vintage wedgewood stove I found on craigslist and I would pop into her tiny used appliance store, now and again and say hello.  By the time I moved to Angelino Heights 3 years later, Hope and her ovens had disappeared and Lot 1 was born.

I got to know Eileen Leslie, owner of Lot 1 and her manpanion, the Lot 1 chef, by jogging past her weekend brunches, on the way to my Elysian Park jog-route.

Lot 1 has gone through various menus and transformations and is currently offering live music with frosty beverages and tasty snacks!  They make my favorite Grilled Cheese in town and this Friday, January 20th, Lot 1 will host The Ukulady & the Evil Sandwiches (different from the incredible Lot 1 Grilled Cheese) along with the Dick & Jane Family Orchestra and a surprise late-night musical guest!

The evening of quirky music will include ukulele, omnichord, songs of marshmallow houses, eye candy & heart binoculars

Feel free to wear a fake moustache, drink heartily and save room for the Grilled Cheese!

Hope to see you meeps there!

To The Downfall of Evil!

Love Thessaly Lerner, the Ukulady
