It's strawberry time--and a time to get creative about ways to eat and preserve the fruit.
Shelley Marks shares a recipe for strawberry-infused vodka on the Silver Lake Farms blog.
"It tasted like sweet, ripe berries with a kick," she writes, adding that the infusion is very easy to make.

Marks says it's best to use organic or pesticide-free fruit, as the infusion will also pull any chemicals from the berries.
And, she adds, "It makes a great summer cocktail on ice. Or mix a little with white wine or champagne for a variation on kir."
