The Silver Lake Neighborhood Council hosted LA WALKS at the Silver Lake Library. Neighbors poured over maps, pointed to problem areas, identified issues, understood what needs to change at the city level to facilitate transformation (mostly road re-classification).
We learned best practices from across the world that we might apply in Silver Lake to help make our streets more vibrant, safe and livable.
LA WALKS did a great job. , and our local on Glendale all pitched in food/snacks.
We also did voter registration and candidate outreach for our upcoming Silver Lake Neighborhood Council elections (Cctober 6, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the Micheltorena School Auditorium).
