DEA Raid in Elysian Valley

Federal agents detained several people after serving warrants in the 2000 block of Blake Avenue Tuesday morning.

Federal agents stormed a "large, metal-clad" building Tuesday morning in the Elysian Valley near the Los Angeles River.

A Drug Enforcement Agency spokesman told the Eastsider that the agents served warrants and detained several people but provided no more detail.

According to the Eastsider, a person on the scene said he saw about 15 agents with what looked like submachine guns.

According to the LAPD Northeast Division Facebook page, the operation was "Top Secret," with local law enforcement unaware of further details.
