Sign Ups Slow for Echo Park Youth Soccer League
Unless the pace picks up, the Rec Center could have to cancel its season.
Echo Park’s Fall Soccer League could be cancelled.
director Dan Hammett tells Echo Park Patch that right now only six kids have signed up to play across four divisions.
He says that’s not even enough to field one team.

It seems that the Rec Center has tough competition.
According to Hammett, “There are close to 100 club-type soccer leagues in the area, and most of them have a youth division.”

The league accepts children between 5 and 12 years of age. Register at the during business hours.
Volunteer coaches are also being sought.
