Most performers dream of coming to Hollywood.
And for Jacqueline Affefat's high school dancers it's a dream come true this weekend.
Van Nuys' CHAMPS High School Dance Squad will be on stage Friday and Saturday in the Barnsdall Gallery Theater at Barnsdall Park in Los Feliz.
We caught up with them Friday just before their last rehearsal for the school's annual dance concert and snapped the above photo, set against the Hollywood sign.

This concert features work by five distinctive choreographers, who have each developed exciting new work on students from the Dance Academy. Styles and approaches range from, modern, lyrical, classical, hip hop and jazz to contemporary, 'Broadway' influences and expressionistic dance theatre. Choreographers include: Jaclyn Affefat, Madeleine Dahm, Melody McKnight, Ina Haybaek-Rogers and our Guest Artist Mr Jaime Rogers, of West Side Story fame.
Affefat says Saturday's show is almost sold out, but Friday's show is still readily available.
Tickets are $20 general admission and $10 for students.
The shows begins at 8 p.m.
The Barnsdall Gallery Theatre is located at 4800 Hollywood Blvd (atop Olive Hill) in Los Feliz.
