Los Angeles Pizza Wins Readers Choice Award
Owner Oscar Arce also helped to bring "Yo Gabba Gabba" star DJ Lance Rock to Elysian Heights Elementary School to celebrate "Read Across America" day.

He was the force behind a really special "Read Across America" Day there Friday.
It featured his friend DJ Lance Rock from the Nickelodeon children's show Yo Gabba Gabba.

DJ Lance read for a rapt auditorium from the works for Dr. Seuss. Then he hung out for photos with kids and their parents, and some of the Seuss and Gabba Gabba characters.
Arce was there too, keeping things running smoothly.

We snapped the above photo just after we told him that his shop had won our Readers Choice Pizza contest voting with 23 of 115 votes (20 percent).
He's in the middle, in case you were wondering.
Los Angeles Pizza has been based on Figueroa for the last six years, but it's coming to Echo Park this spring.
Silver Lake's Tomato Pie gets a special "Silver Medal," with 18 votes (15 percent).
