Due to an unhealthful air quality forecast, Friday is a no-burn day for residents living in the South Coast Air Basin.

Residents living in the basin, which includes all of Orange County and the non-desert areas of Los Angeles, Riverside and San Bernardino counties, are prohibited from burning wood or manufactured fire logs in their fireplaces for the 24-hour period that began at midnight, according to the South Coast Air Quality Management District, the air pollution control agency that issued the no-burn order.
