The Echo Park Lake rehab is well along.
The boathouse and pump station are complete.
So is the lotus bed, with soil preparation and re-planting coming soon.
Still to be completed is a new path around the lake.
It will be built of a "pervious material," that will allow water to filter through the concrete and into the soil.
It's still not confirmed whether bikes will be allowed to ride on the path as before, because of the sensitivity of the material.
Some have argued for a special bike lane. Others say best to keep bikes off completely.
