Pot Holes, Community Improvement, Graffiti on Echo Park Council Agenda

The Echo Park Neighborhood Council holds its monthly meeting tonight.

The Greater Echo Park Elysian Neighborhood Council will hold its monthly Board of Governors meeting Tuesday night.

Items on the night's agenda include discussion of a pot hole repair initiative as well as multiple expenditure approvals to clean up local library branches.

Some of the highlights of the agenda include:

  • Discussion and/or Possible Action on the authorization of the expenditure of funds for a Community Improvement Project payable to the Hollywood Beautification Team in the amount of $3,000 for the cleanups of the Echo Park Branch Public Library through the end of fiscal year 2013-2014.
  • Discussion and/or Possible Action on the authorization of the expenditure of funds for a Community Improvement Project payable to the Hollywood Beautification Team in the amount of $3,000 for the cleanups of the Edendale Branch Public Library through the end of fiscal year 2013-2014.
  • Discussion and/or Possible Action on the authorization of the expenditure of funds for a Neighborhood Purpose Grant to Central City Action Committee in the amount of $4,950 for the purpose of purchasing paint for cleaning up graffiti within GEPENC borders, and send a letter to CD1 and CD13 to assist with supplies to help keep our neighborhood clean of graffiti.
  • Discussion and/or Possible Action on the Bureau of Street Services (BSS) Neighborhood Council Initiative, also known as Operation Neighborhood Council Blitz (NC Blitz), whereby the BSS will perform small asphalt repairs (SAR) within GEPENC boundaries on December 5, 2013, and on one other occasion during FY 2013-2014.
  • Discussion and/or Possible Action on the adoption of the URL “echoparknc.org” as the official GEPENC uniform resource locator.

The Echo Park Neighborhood Council meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday night at the Cisneros Learning Academy Auditorium, 1018 Mohawk Street. Meetings are open to the public.
