Which L.A. Anthems Should Be City's 'Hold Music'?

Council District 4's Tom LaBonge thinks the city should change the tunes callers hear while they hold to tunes ones inspired by Los Angeles.

One motion stole the spotlight at Monday's City Council meeting where the city's $7.2 billion budget was unanimously approved, reports The City Maven.

During the budget discussion, Councilman Tom LaBonge asked staff to replace the city's hold music with songs inspired by Los Angeles.

Some of LaBonge's suggestions include "Coming into Los Angeles" by Arlo Guthrie, "Walking in L.A." by Missing Persons, "California Dreaming" by The Mamas and the Papas and more.

As penance, would LaBonge throw a local artist's tune into the mix--as a nod to some of his constituents in the music industry?
